Maleah Claxton and her staff at Shelter Insurance is the absolute best. Super kind, super helpful and gets right on claims or whatever you need. I couldn't ask for better insurance and people. She is the absolute best.

Maehlah helped me with Roadside Assistance other morning. It was on my policy. It was about 25 degrees that morning and before eight oclock I am totally deaf and couldn't call myself. She called for me. And had them there in twenty minutes! It was only an iced fuel line but she even told them I was deaf and to expect that! She is learning sign language too! She's great!

Ive been in a car wreck for going on 5 months. Shelter got me a car for about 60 days( after begging them ). After that they left me for the wolves. My agent ( Andy Foust ) refused to answer the phone, email, etc. I had to call my office every single time I needed something. Usually he would respond within well basically whenever he wanted to. Long story short if you want to be misrepresented by your insurance and want your business that was doing well to crumble, please choose shelter. They do not care if you need a vehicle to go to work even if it wasnt your fault in the wreck. My business was on track to make 150K this year until my rental vehicle was taken back. I had to pay additional fees for the rental vehicle because my insurance provider never reached out to me on when the vehicle needed to be turned in they thought everyone else will do their job for them. Now I currently dont have a job because the contractor I was working for couldnt trust me to show up at the job site because out of favors for rides that I shouldnt even have to ask for. Long story short here I am on month five, they sent off my insurance payment about a week ago and Im having to wait 30 more days for the credit bureau to show my gap insurance was paid off. When I called to speak to a manager. They told me that I didnt have what I needed in my policy and thats why they couldnt follow the laws that require them to give me A vehicle until my claim is resolved. thank you shelter for all youve done for us the past 7+ years of me and my family paying for your insurance oh and also charging us Insurance the whole time knowing the vehicle is already totaled and gone (still waiting on that reimbursement check ) Please do yourself a favor and do not use shelter. And if you do, youre only bet of getting what you need is to sue them. I would, if I had any money left But Because of how shelter has treated me Im broke. God bless.
