August 15, 2022. Power is out. House is hot. I pay this company for a specific service. I'm gonna say that again.. I PAY. I pay twice..a 'convenience' fee, to be exact..yet I have no option to be reimbursed for an 'inconvenisnce fee'!?? My home now is required to re-cool itself, ie my a/c will now run for 18 hours straight to 'catch up' or re-attain a desired set point. No notice was given. I have refrigeratorated/frozen food that is in jeapoordy of spoilage, through no fault of my own...simply a defective, outdated, 'good Ole boy' network of service. ..one that I'll surely be OVERCHARGED for tomorrow. I pray for this country. This is why. I wish I could give negative stars. One is too generous.

As many of us know getting a paycheck weekly we are no Rockefellers. Smack in the middle of the covid pandemic I had a month in which my bank account was running a bit low and when paying my electric bill online went through but another auto pay bill through it out and literally .52 cents caused my electric bill payment to be rejected. Of course as soon as I realized what had happened I took care of it including the $30 returned check charge even though there was no check involved it was all electronic. Because of this event I was told I could no longer use any online services, view bill, pay bill, ask questions and would have to pay bill in cash or money order in person FOREVER. Never a possibility of using the online services. So Smug and uncaring. I was floored. The one saving grace to all this is the fact that solar energy is catching on very very quickly and Ripley Power and Light want even exist is less than a decade. Better start looking for a new job uncaring, disrespectful folks at Ripley Power and Light.

Very nice facility and reliable services. The staff that operate the lobby are always helpful and friendly. Just one of the perks of living in a small town
