Giles County Highway Department

I appreciate the highway dept snow plowing our road so it is not dangerous, HOWEVER I do not appreciate them breaking my mailbox off at the ground! My neighbors box was pushed halfway down. My elderly parents mailbox was knocked down as well. They drive entirely too fast and have no consideration for people's property!! Totally unacceptable!

I REALLY WISH GILES COUNTY HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT WOULD FIX & PAVE AYMETT RIDGE ROAD !! I HAVE CALLED 3 TIMES & COMPLAIN ABOUT IT & WAS TOLD IT WOULD BE FIXED AFTER THE HOUSES WERE BUILT ON ABLES LANE, BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET. HOUSES HAVE BEEN BUILT AWHILE NOW & I HAVE JUST HAD TO SPEND $1,500.00 ON FRONT END WORK ON VEHICLE. I HAVE TO HAVE WHEELS BALANCED TWICE A YEAR WHERE OUR ROAD IS SO ROUGH ,PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!!!! Y'ALL HAVE OILED & CHIPPED ROADS THIS YEAR WHERE PEOPLE DON'T EVEN LIVE ON

They have been very helpful was able to get into my property with their help on putting in a culvert. They were super easy to deal with and very respectful. they have to come back and do a little bit of repair because of the rain washing a part out, but it’s nice to know they will come out to do that. I just moved here this year and have been happy about how they manage the roads. Those who think otherwise has not lived up north completely different world there.

Giles County Highway Department is DESTROYING OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTY SIDE by attempting to mow down trees 10-20 feet off the roadways with a bush hog attached to an arm. They are leaving trees laying in our creeks and roads, which end up building up dams and causing major flooding on our roads. There is no purpose destroying our country side just so they can get a pay check. They need to be repairing the potholes on rural roads or cleaning out the ditches and creeks that accumulate debris that clogs up culverts and causes flooding on our roads. But that would mean they actually have to get out of their trucks and off the tractors and do manual work.

Very friendly and professional. Just purchased land in Lynnvilla and had questions of a culvert that is rusted and unsafe. Waiting on a reply back.
