Oakwood Homes

Was there March 18th. Put a deposit down on a home. Had a plan. Got financing. Was told 3-4 weeks and it would be built. We would close on it at the ends of April, we are selling our current home and wa told we could close on it then come in and immediately close on the doublewide. Fast forward a week and a half. Brian basically avoided our phone calls. Get ahold of him today (April 4) just for him to say (at 930am) that hes with a customer and will call back in an hour. Five hours go by. My husband calls him just for him to act like he does not care about us or anything. Like losing our sale was absolutely nothing to him. Talk about a real salesman. Said he has no control over when houses are built even tho we were initially told 3-4 weeks (not sure who told us that cause I dont remember the mans name). Brian informed my husband that it could be one month or three months. We explained to him our situation on the first phone call to him. And he was very eager to work with us. Because we said we could have a big down payment Im assuming and now that the process is actually started, weve already gotten financing, he acts like we mean nothing. And its super sad. We had a deposit down and everything. And now we have nothing. I do not recommend this place at all. I get wait times are expected. But dont flat lie to the customer. Was also never asked if we wanted different color siding, any extras or anything and they applied for financing for EVERYTHING included; decks and all. When we never asked for that. Then when we asked about changing the siding color he told us we would be pushed to the back of the line even tho we had zero info on what we could and couldnt change before they ordered the double wide.

Laughable at best. Tony has me and my family sit in his office across from him at his desk while he spits his tabacco into his dixie cup. Then instead of selling us something he hands us a key and tells us to get look at the models. So we pick something out then his English gets better because it is most likely out of our price range. lmao. Guess what? Turns out it is. Now we want what we can't have. Huh who would have figured that happening besides anyone who knows how to sell something. It gets worse!! It may seem like you are paying more when you look at sticker price to sticker price but Quality is BETTER any where else and you will most less in in hidden back end cost. In my opinion these people are liars from begging to end.

Me and my Wife got a house from Oakwood Homes and are more than happy for what we received. If you are looking around for a new Manufactured home, choose Oakwood. They definitely have the best prices compared to their competition. Randy the manager, has been extremely professional and honest throughout the process. Every request that had to do with our house, he would grant and complete. Well done Oakwood Homes.

The person I spoke to was the most rude and disrespectful I've come across in a long time. I was calling to assist our mutual client who is purchasing land for a mobile home from this company.

Contractors that hook things up after delivery are horrible. We had to call them multiple times over electric, water, trim, etc, and now just 2 yrs later having to replace the entire septic drain system under the house because their contractors used improper fittings and cut corners.
