Vanderbilt General Surgery

I had my gallbladder removed by Dr Holzman. At my pre surgery appointment, as well as my actual surgery, Dr Holzman, the nurses, and all staff were so friendly and helpful! Dr H never made me feel rushed, and answered any questions I had, making sure I felt comfortable and understood everything!

Don't go here! Surgeons are too busy to care, listen, or return calls. Office nurses are equally rude and disrespectful to patients. The Vanderbilt air of arrogance is real. Highly recommend going elsewhere for your care. A few comments to a public relations desk worker won't change the corporate culture of arrogance. I do appreciate your willingness for engagement however. *Not all Vanderbilt providers are like this either. Just in my experience with this office

The Vanderbilt name wrongly precedes the quality of care they deliver. I honestly wouldnt recommend. You think the negative complaints wont happen to you, but dont be fooled. Nursing staff except a few are rude and inconsiderate, and was made to feel like asking questions was a bother. Of which, they probably get from the attending surgeon who seemingly is also too busy to answer questions or care either. Theyre all mostly stuck up and pompous. After having surgery with them, its like I am no longer a patient. Beware who you trust your care to.

This facility was easy accessible, great parking, front staff were kind and helpful. Wait was less than 5. Second visit post-op we were late due to heavy accident traffic, very accommodating and kind to get in and seen and treated well. Dr. Bradley has been wonderful through whole experience, took his time in explanation all through the process of pre-op, during surgery day, help after, and post-op. Highly recommend.
