I want to give recognition to one of your incredible employees Lechelle in the Nashville office. She truly listened and cared enough to help. My mom June Bellis had been having a horrible time with the social security administration on receiving her benefits. My dad died in august and their social security had always come thru the railroad. When my dad died that ended cause there was no survivor benefits. My mom did everything she needed to do to switch it to actual social security along with the railroad signing over jurisdiction on September 7th. We had contacted social security many times and was assured its a slow process but things were getting done. In October my mom received a letter stating she would receive benefits the 4th Wednesday in November. The 4th Wednesday came and no money was deposited but when we called social security it said due to holidays it wouldnt be deposited til November 27th. On the 27th no deposit we called sat on the phone from 9am to 4:30pm with SSA to be told that my mother receives benefits from the railroad and that they did not have jurisdiction the railroad did. No one at social security would listen or would help. She went to the actual social security office and was treated horribly. The woman gave my mom paperwork she already had and would not even let her speak. They insisted she had been getting money from the railroad. On November 28th my mom called the railroad retirement benefits and spoke with Lechelle. She cried telling her she cant get no one to listen or help her at social security. She has no money set aside she just lost her husband and she needs her money to pay bills. Lechelle contacted social security with my mother and I truly believe she is the only reason anyone helped and listened to my mom. She is truly a remarkable person and the world needs more Lechelles in it. She made sure to help my mom get the problem solved. I cant thank her enough. She truly deserves a raise and promotion. Signed Sincerely and Very appreciative.
