    Was feeling hopeful with Graceful Aging Legal Services to provide guidance concerning a personal matter. Provided the necessary information during my intake session and was provided a date to speak w so i thought. Excited about my scheduled appointment was a second intake process with me rehashing my details a second time. Felt disappointed and confused with the process to learn they have a heavy workload and is unable to take on my case. Don't know what went wrong, and felt they would do an outstanding job with my case. Nevertheless, waiting on God for clarity and direction.

    Ms. Jackson was originally very helpful in setting up a conservatorship. However, once my father passed away and it was time to do the final filings, she was completely absent. For a year Ms. Jackson and her staff would claim that the filing was almost done they just needed "one last thing" from me. I would provide the requested documents (sometimes having to take time off work to do so) and then wouldn't hear from her for weeks; when I would have to send multiple emails only to get a response asking for "one more thing". So I'd have take time off work to go get bank records, then she'd say she needed something else and I would have to take off work again to go back to the bank again. And to be clear - these requests were for documents that presumably would have been required all the previous times she said the filing was ready. After half a dozen rounds of this back and forth, Ms. Jackson finally said she had everything and the filing would be complete in 10 business days. Three and a half weeks later and not only is the filing still incomplete, Ms. Jackson hasn't even had the courtesy to answer follow-up emails asking for a status update.

    I was having an issue with my moms bank, not allowing me to close out her account despite having a will in hand. April send me a document link that allowed me to get the account closed. The process was so easy but I could not have done it without her help. Im grateful for her time, knowledge, and help.

Our process is to send a follow up email after all initial calls within 24 hours , usually less but we give some leeway in case the matter requires extra review with our attorneys. If someone has not received a follow up email, we would encourage them to check their spam folder and then email us at [email protected] to let us know. We have follow up systems in place so that potential clients will continue to hear from us until we are confident that their matter has been (1) resolved by us, (2) referred to an appropriate other person/agency, or (3) the person is no longer interested in our services. Please call or email us if you believe that you should have received a communication but haven't. That would be a glitch in our system and I want to make sure that we get it resolved. Thank you!

We are always looking for ways to improve our processes.Currently our process is that potential clients are able to contact us by calling, emailing, sending a form through our website, or using our website to set up their own call with our intake coordinator, Caitlin.If their first contact is a phone call, we will gather some basic information about the type of service they are looking for and the names of any other people involved. If they are seeking a service we do not provide, we will do our best to provide a referral to someone who offers that service. If we do, they are scheduled for a call with our intake coordinator.Our intake coordinator gathers much more detailed information to get a fuller understanding of the situation so we can evaluate if we will be a good fit given multiple variables that are involved in legal cases such as court location, scheduling needs, family dynamics, etc.Because we work on a variety of cases- from estate planning to contested conservatorship matters- it is important that we keep an eye on our workload so we can serve existing clients while continuing to take on new cases. If there is a good fit and we are able to take the case, then a paid call will be scheduled with our attorney (me). If there is a reason why we are not a good fit, or if the matter needs to be addressed more quickly than we could get to it, we will refer the potential client to other attorneys who we believe would do a good job with the situation.We don't want to schedule a paid call or delay services if we believe that we won't be the best person to serve your situation.
