If your ex is abusive and you want a divorce do not go to him, and if your abusive ex hires him be extremely weary and do not go to court without your own representation. Especially if children are involved.

I'd give zero if I could. If you're a woman trying to get out of an abusive marriage, go to someone else. My mother, siblings and I were viciously abused by my father in every way imaginable except physical and had evidence to support this. Richard was hoping for an open shut, easy money case so he had the audacity to waste my mother's time and tell her she had no case and my dad would get everything in the divorce. Keep looking.
