Good staff members but I hate that I have to wait an hour or 2 just to see my cardiologist

I had an appointment at the Vanderbilt Heart Clinic, located at 100 Oaks Mall, yesterday for a vascular ultrasound to rule out a blood clot. My appointment was at 2pm, and I arrived at 1:30 to check in. I checked in with a man named Gregory who stated I was “good” and to have a seat and wait to be called back. At 2:45 I still had not been called back so I went to the registration desk and asked when I might be called, advising my appointment was at 2pm. Gregory stated he would check on the issue because they don’t normally take this long to call people back. When he came back to the desk he stated there were no ultrasound techs back there and he was told to call a phone number. He called the number while I stood there and received no answer. He told me I could reschedule or wait for him to receive a call back. I advised I did not want to reschedule because I was there to rule out a blood clot. It’s a serious issue that I do not want to put off. He then involved the other man at the registration desk, Jeff or Jeremy (I don’t remember), who asked for my name and looked me up. He said the same thing, “please have a seat and wait until we find out what’s going on”. After a few minutes I was called back up to the registration desk and told there was a “slight hiccup” due to an unexpected absence of an employee. I advised I had been waiting for over an hour to be called back and was told nothing about there not being an ultrasound tech available. I advised I did not understand how they didn’t know. I stated my appointment was as at 2pm so I could not possibly be the first ultrasound appointment of the day. Not Gregory, but the other man at the desk, stated there was nothing he could do and asked if I wanted to go to Vanderbilt campus to have it done today. At this point it was past 3pm so I verified that the clinic on campus would still be open and that someone would be there to do the ultrasound. He stated “there should be”. I asked again how they could not know an employee wasn’t there and he cut me off stating “do you want the address to the campus clinic or not”. I said yes, and added how frustrated I was at his attitude and the situation. He ignored me. Well, it turns out the address he gave me was the complete wrong address for the Vascular Clinic at the Vanderbilt campus. I ended up near Fisk on Jefferson... no where close to where I was supposed to be. If I knew his name for sure, I would call his boss and have him fired, or at least reprimanded for his rude behavior. Instead, I’m writing this review in hopes someone will see it and do something. The employees at the registration desk of the Heart Clinic at 100 Oaks are a joke with no common sense and bad attitudes. Go to the actual Vanderbilt campus if you are given a choice. No one at 100 Oaks gives a sh*t.
