TN State Veterans Home

My father in law was admitted about 6 weeks ago. I have only high praises for the staff. They have been extremely helpful with all aspects of his care. They have gone above and beyond to ensure he is well taken care of and to welcome his wife as a visitor. He has many medical challenges and the staff has worked hard to accommodate all if them. I have the utmost confidence in the care they provide. The facility is always clean, smells good, and the staff is always friendly. I strongly recommend this facility for your loved one.

My father was recently admitted to this facility. Our family was hoping for something better as long as it took to get here. But it seems par for the coarse as other long term care facilities, just serving our nations veterans. Our veterans deserve the absolute best out there for their contributions to our freedoms. But my father has been admitted for over a week and no communication from anyone on the care team. Im concerned about him being soiled when I am there as his clothing remains the same. Short staffing in nursing to allow for proper and adequate evaluations on all patients. Not answering family phone calls and not answering call lights in an appropriate time frame. Broken leaky pipes in the bathroom. If you are looking for places to put your loved ones please research all the options available because this place can do and should do better.

Cooperate does not care about you and will go after you if youre too good for the job. Dont even think about applying here, you dont get paid enough. Also most of the staff that work here dont care about taking care of your elders. Dont bring your veterans here and dont apply here. Its just bad news.

I interviewed here a while back for a cna job. Ive been in medical for 18years and this facility has been one of the nicest veterans state facilities I have ever seen. Coming from up north its a 5 stars for me. Very cleanly kept and the residents look happy. Keep up the good work and stay safe.
