They do not stand by there warranty if your equipment breaks. I was very disappointed with there customer service, the employee was trying to be captain obvious.

I recently had an unfortunate experience with my weed eater. While trying to use it, I accidentally pushed the primer too hard, causing a hole in it. I decided to take it to Dickens for repairs, hoping to get it back in working condition. The total cost came to nearly $50, covering both parts and labor. However, when I returned home and attempted to start it, I was disappointed to find that it wouldn't start at all.
I returned to Dickens to address the issue, and they informed me the reason it wouldn't start was a completely separate issue they couldn't fix that particular problem. It's frustrating to think that the weed eater was functioning perfectly before I broke the primer, and now it won't start at all after they fixed it. The situation is rather ironic, considering I paid them to repair a part, and now the machine is non-functional and they can't/won't fix it. If I wanted to burn a $50 bill I could've come up with a more exciting and creative way than this.
I suggested a possible resolution, proposing that they offset the cost, allowing me to purchase a new one from their store. Unfortunately, they declined this offer. It's disheartening to receive this response, especially since I've been a loyal customer of Dickens for over a decade, relying on them for lawn mower servicing and grass seed purchases. I've also recommended their services to others who I know have gone there.
My concern now is how they handle more significant issues if this is their response to a relatively minor problem. I had hoped for a more understanding and customer-friendly approach. Regrettably, I won't be recommending Dickens to anyone else in the future based on this experience. Heading to Home Depot...
