Everything about this place is a hit: wholesome clean atmosphere, the food, friendly servers and drinks. Note to management, the portions could be a bit larger to make the experience a "go to regular" place, e.g. 2 pieces of fish on fish n' chips for $22 - should be 3 pieces for $25; and, a large scoop of mediocre mashed potatoes for $9 is almost a 4 star performance. So, it is pricy (bring $250 for 3 people) and if you aren't comfortable sitting in their patio furniture ask for a couch seat. Special music events are great occasions including trance music on Saturdays.

For our first visit, we were completely in love with the decor and atmosphere. The smoked fish appetizer was average, not much of a smoked flavor. The steamed mussels were amazing. The corned beef Reuben and fries were delicious. The Guinness chocolate cake is a must if you like dessert. The real reason we visited was to catch up and have a few old fashioneds. The first round we received we could tell the bartender did not know how to make them. They were missing the muddled orange around the rim and in the drink. The next few rounds actually followed the recipe. Our server, bless his heart, was awkward and overbearing. In a nice restaurant like that you should not try to push and upsell everything like a buy here, pay here used car salesman. I'm sure he is a very sweet guy but was a little obnoxious throughout our visit.
