I dont usually write Google reviews, but the experience and service we had with Hughes warrants one. If you live in Memphis, and with all due respect to MLGW, you know we are prone to outages thunderstorms in summer, ice storms in winter. We got a lot of quotes for Generac home back up generators, and we got a wide range of prices and installation plans. Cutting to the chase you will probably pay a little more and wait a little longer to go with Hughes Electrical. However, after seeing and hearing about neighbors with generators installed improperly, we realized this was an important investment in our home that we needed to trust was done right. James Hughes attended to the installation and turn on/test personally. Generac units themselves cost what they cost what you are paying for includes the expertise, experience, and service after the fact. I could not recommend them more highly! (Postscript we got our unit set up 10 days ago, and on 6 April the power to our neighborhood dropped out for about 4 hours, and the generator kicked on and did exactly what it was supposed to do. We had power, internet, everything we needed. Thank you James!)

Had a Generac whole house generator installed. Everyone in this company were helpful, knowledgeable and informative. Due to demand, there was some delay in getting the unit installed, but the electrical and gas installations and hookups when smoothly with good quality work. The quote I got was thousands of dollars less than the others I obtained. The owner was hands on providing the original assessment and quote and followed up with personally providing the start-up and thoroughly going over the features of the unit. I couldn't ask for better service.

This may sound like a repeat of other posts, but that is because we are all in agreement. Hughes Electric did a FANTASTIC job from start to finish of our Generac Generator purchase. James (the owner) did the initial estimate and final set up and explanation of the machine. I asked him of he had someone else to help with the final walk through's and he said he does them all by himself, to make sure everything is right, his name on the line. Now THAT'S integrity. The office staff and both installation teams are TOP NOTCH. Courteous, respectful, performed excellent work and great cleanup afterwards. I'd rate the entire experience at 100% but that seems too low! Such an pleasant surprise in this day and age of quickie installations just to take your money. Don't shop, just stop and call Hughes Electric! Outstanding!

Hughes Electrical & HVAC Services is one of the most professional companies that I have worked with. They were recommended by my uncle for a Generac that was installed this year before a week-long power outage in the Memphis Area. I love my Generac, and now use Hughes for my HVAC needs. The staff is prompt, skilled, and courteous. Choosing Hughes was one of the best decisions I have made and I recommend them for any electrical or HVAC needs.
