I am currently sitting in my room here. I will be quick to say this is not a hotel I would recommend or consider staying in again. Honestly, I considered not staying at all. When I first arrived, there was no one in the check-in area. There was a couple in front of me becoming frustrated with the lack of assistance and they attempted to call a number posted at the front desk, but it would ring the phone in front of us behind the counter - so that wasn't helpful. Eventually, someone came in from outside and helped us get checked in. When going to park, I would not say that I felt safe as a solo, female traveler. There was a random group of men in the back lot area that didn't look to work here and it gave off some bad vibes. When I got to my room, I immediately noticed the door latch is gone which definitely did not help the unsafe situation. The peep hole is also installed for much taller individuals. If it wasn't due to the time constraints and likely penalty costs, I would have immediately left. Later, I attempted to sit down to work and noticed I cant connect to the wifi at all - so I'm now even more upset with my stay. My room is located next to the stairs and I can easily hear the other visitors coming and going, but the hotel itself is further away from the main road, so I don't expect traffic noise tonight. The bed at least seems clean. I dont expect to partake in breakfast and will definitely not be returning. Rooms: I immediately noticed that my door latch is gone and there is peeling paint on the door. The tub/shower is on the smaller size, but available and looks clean. The bed seems clean. I cant connect to the wifi at all. Nearby activities: There are a few close by fast food places including a Taco Bell in front of the building. I believe there is a movie theater across the street and there is a Walmart about two minutes up the road. This is also close to the college which is the reason for my visit. Safety: As a solo, female traveler- I cannot recommend this location. As noted, when I first arrived, there looked to be a group of men hanging around the back lot area that didn't look to work here. Food & drinks: There are a few fast food places within driving distance of the hotel and a Taco Bell within walking distance. There is also a Walmart about two minutes up the road.

We stayed here so our son could tour UT Martin. This place was extremely clean, and local to everything in this tiny town. I was impressed when I walked through the door. The breakfast was good and the breakfast area was kept very clean as well. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the beds were not very comfortable and when you move the person next to you moves too. My husband would flop like a fish and it felt like I was back in the 80's on a water bed
