after speaking with the owner i have decided to edit my post because i maybe got carried a little off the point, ok a lot off point (im sure weve all done it but a descent person isnt afraid to own his mistake and since it was originally in written form so is my apology... and they do seem like descent folks and i do stand corrected concerning if its still family owned, it would certainly appear by your statement i was wrong there and im not too big to say it either. secondly, let me lead off saying im sure the owner(s) do everything possible to weed out any wrongdoings on their properties but fact is sometimes dopers hole up in places like this JUST LIKE the ones in knoxville do too but the fact also remains, thats all we got here in lenoir city and im sure the owner cant argue with the fact that there aint one single 5 star or even 3 or 4 star motels in town but theyre cheap and reasonably clean if your willing to risk a few things. if your are, this place is as good as any in town. and i have only communicated with owner via internet but it sounds like they are good people and i didnt mean to imply they can control any of the other circumstances i mentioned in the last post either, maybe one too many sups of scotch ? lol but, my opinion is still stop in knoxville IF YOU are travelling with valuables and/or family and to look for a classier place. use your phone, its not hard, lol. but if your alone, only looking at your bottom dollar, this place is good as any and to the owner, im sorry but i wouldnt give any loudon county motel above 2 stars because ive stayed in 5 star hotels, if you havent then brother, you GOTTA try that before you pass on ok ? Rooms: these rooms aint the worst ever. i didnt see any roaches so thats always a good thing. everything seemed to be clean although i didnt have my bluelight or anything. haha. Nearby activities: you do not want to come into contact with law enforcement if your staying in the county, no matter where you stay. thats not confined to this location and i apologize if my former post led anyone to think so. lenoir city park is pretty cool, i wouldnt try drinking any alcohol or anything that might get you into trouble here, is probably how i should said it in my 1st post, haha. Safety: I would not take my personal safety for granted here. I know drug dealers target these type motels to stay in. but if im not mistaken this one is really close the lenoir city police department but this reviewer doesnt know if that good or bad but i wont debate it on this business review. Walkability: not much to mention here. even if you could walk it you probably would not want to at least due to traffic. Food & drinks: motels in this area almost never serve food but some are near restaurants, i do not recall any near this location. you could probably walk to hardees or a convenience store but traffic might change your mind. Noteworthy details: This establishment is at least 50 years old. I am not saying i wouldnt stay here again but since i live close by it would have to be another fumigation or some other problem forcing me from my home here. on such an occasion this was the perfect place because it was cheap, i had no children to care for and i had already been to 2 other locations who refused to rent because "the only reason local people rent motel rooms is to have parties or sell drugs so its our policy to never rent to anyone who lives here". mmmmhhhmmmmm...
