We checked out today after staying the weekend. Having stated at 100+ airBnb type properties, this one by far is my favorite! The property, cabin and event space are one of a kind. After meeting the owners of the retreat I wasnt surprised. Jill and L.J. Are also one of a kind. They were more than accommodating and overall just genuinely great people. The amenities are over the top, u dont need to bring anything. Its very homey and cozy. I definitely recommend this space for any type of event or just a getaway. Keep up the outstanding work Mr. and Mrs. Perry!! See you soon

Amazing and attentive hosts! Gorgeous scenery with the most perfect sunset. Beautiful wedding venue. So glad we met Jill and LJ! It was the perfect place for heartfelt memories to be made. Extra perks include farm fresh eggs, funny goats, and the best working dog ever Frankie. Wishing I could give them 10 star, but 5 will have to do!

To start off this place is breathtakingly beautiful! Every second spent taking notice of the nature and animals around me sent me into such a peaceful mindset that I hardly knew existed. The owners LJ and Jill are quite literally the friendliest and most interesting people Ive ever met in my life, welcoming and inviting are hardly good enough words for these folks, and they took amazing care of my wife and I on our wedding day. If you had a trip planned to somewhere else in Tennessee do yourself a favor, cancel it and go see Jill and LJ at Billy Goat Hill Retreat.

If you are looking for a relaxing country-side vacation, this is the place to go. Its not far from Nashville so you can drive into the city for some late night fun and great food. The goats and chickens are fun to feed and if you are lucky enough you might get to hold a baby goat! Which are arguably cuter than baby people!!! A lot of cool music videos and weddings have taken place here and the hosts are very professional. On top of that the neighbors give you a warm welcome too. You dont have to worry about staying in a bad area or being unsure of your safety which I really appreciated. They just added a hot tub to the property and are constantly thinking of new renovations for guests. This spot is a great place to come back to every year be it for parties or just a nice getaway. 10/10 do recommend.

This isn't just an Air Bnb - it's an experience that everyone should take the opportunity to have ASAP. You'll be making the biggest mistake if you don't respond to this opportunity to book a stay with the Perrys (no relation - seriously just met them). The Cabin is a beautiful gem. Arrive after dark - do yourself this favor - and you will arrive on a winding driveway that first gives views of the Barn (ie the Billy Goat Hill Retreat Community Center) all lit up with perfect southern charm in the midst of trees and a rolling landscape. The chalkboard greeting by the front door is just the beginning of the over-the-top attention to detail the hosts put into their passion of serving people. When the door opens - your mood is instantly set in a quaint country ambiance. Music gently emanates from the open floor conceptual log cabin. The lights are perfectly placed and dimmed - and the aroma of HOME washes over you. As you pass through the entryway and kitchen you arrive at the main floor guestroom with a big soft bed. The artwork is eclectic and perfectly bright to pop color in what could be an otherwise unsuspecting room. The bedside tables come with outlets conveniently placed so you are not left hunting for a place to charge your phone. Linens are perfectly folded and laid at the foot of each bed and displayed with travel-size toiletries and a fresh brand-new in the package toothbrush for that absent-minded traveler like myself. The attention to detail...they even provide chapstick!! But it gets even better -- with a mix of Moira and David Rose bougieness - the soaps are Beekman 1802. Suburb! Off to the left is an ensuite bathroom featuring a claw foot soaking tub equipped with a shelf for those who want to enjoy a glass of wine and a book or tablet as they relax. No worries if baths aren't your thing - there's a spacious shower stall too. The attention to detail carries through out the second floor. At the front door, If you go up, you are taken on a historical musical journey as you climb the wooden flight of stairs, which are lined with instruments of sentimental significance from LJs musical momma. (Check the records under The Victrola. You'll find her albums.) As you crest the cedar steps you enter the open loft that has been made into a perfectly cozy sleeping space with a king-size bed, and twin windows overlooking the back deck and property. Thought was put into this space, making it complete with a vanity and tv. The third guestroom is an immediate right at the top of the stairs and it is a dream room for any woman who knows the value of lighting and space for getting ready as our best selves. The smart vanity mirror is the highlight, in my opinion, of this room. My travel mate loved it so much she bought one within minutes for her new home. It has a built in Bluetooth speaker!!! This king-size bed is bedecked with an adjustable frame which is quite ingenious as an amenity when one knows the pain of digestive issues like heartburn. These mattresses are so incredibly comfortable - the perfect Goldilocks level of firmness and plushness. This guestroom features the second ensuite bathroom and has a corner soaking tub with a separate shower. While you're in there - gazing at the painting of a billy goat, take a moment to notice the artists mark -- this is one multifaceted, talented man. The kitchen is beautifully equipped and stocked. You can get a great feeling for it by watching for the cooking scenes in Montgomery Gentrys King of the World music video -- which was filmed in said cooking space. There's no need to worry about cooking ware or a bottle opener - these hosts know how to set their guests up for a stint in the country, right down to the mason jar drinking glasses. Out the back door, you will find the retreat of the retreat, the deck has a fireplace, social seating, individual porch swings, and the brand-new hot tub. The sunken spa sits under a beautiful open cedar gazebo. The bistro lights add the finishing touch that cements the southern charm.
