I hate to write a bad review for Dottie but Im going to be honest about my experience. She was supposed to sew some patches on my backpack, she said if she couldnt sew them on she would glue them. She said my bag would be ready the middle of the following week. I didnt hear back until the week after she said. Which was not a huge deal. When I went to pick my bag up she clearly had just started working on it and there was glue coming out from the patches and clumsily spread over my bag with little globs here and there. I took the bag home to my wife and didnt say anything bad as to not negatively influence her thoughts on Dotties craftsmanship. The moment my wife saw the glue gobs and specs all over my bag she was just as surprised as I was with the quality of work. I did tell Dottie I would finish glueing the patches down and clean up the mess of glue so I can assume some responsibility for the job. My wife and I ended up taking all the glued patches off and used alcohol to clean the bag and get it mostly restored back to its original condition. We were able to take advantage of the fact that Dottie had just started to quickly glue everything on the after she told me I could come and get it. She talked a lot about her son who has a TBI very constantly and her being sick. It felt a bit like she was trying to take advantage of my feelings. Theres no doubt those things are important but you are running a business here. I think she usually does good work from the examples I saw in her shop but she really dropped the ball on the work she did for me. I will not be using her services again.

I have had work done by Eye For Sewing several times and I plan to have more more done soon. They are my go to for Sewing and Embroidering.
