Horrible Experience!! Don't waste your time! I have tried working with Kimball's to have a custom class ring made for my son. It has been 3 months of going back and forth, waiting weeks for an answer. Their designer, who customers are not allow to talk to, kept making a ring for a female. I keep sending examples of traditional men's rings saying I want the same basic structure and size, and that it needs to be a MAN's ring. They keep sending female rings, but with enough changes that I know my info had been passed on at least somewhat. At one point I made it a priority that they need to get the size of the stone correct, knowing that will force the ring to be more wide like a male's ring. The size of the stone had been mentioned previously and had been in all of the pictures. I was so frustrated! Well they make the ring wide, but also very thick, an obviously distorted ring. It had 50% more gold that a normal class ring, so I was not happy. So finally they tell me they cannot make a class ring look like everyone else's class ring because it is a copyright infringement. I have pretty much been told that they don't want to work with me since I care about getting what I asked for. I have since talked to other jewelers that say slight modifications will give us the ring we want and without a copyright issue. I am so mad that I wasted so much time with Kimball Jewelers. Google does not seem to let me respond so I will add more. NEVER did we say we would order the rings. None of them. Your designer was making girls rings for a boy!! Of course we didnt like them. Sure the 2 logos were done well but that is all. Simple things like making the stones the right size were not even done until the end when he made a ring with too much metal. If they could not make the class ring images we sent then he should have said so, other than altering them in feminine ways. And we never did change our design but only asked for the rings to be like the pictures sentMENS rings. You are unethical to lie like you are.

Took a Rolex in to have a bezel replaced, after all there is a large Rolex sign out front, they said they would send it out. After about a week, I got a call and was told that it would $97 to do the work. Except, no guarantee that it would be water proof or better yet, no guarantee that it would run. Why would anyone that owns a Rolex watch would want someone working on their watch that would not guarantee that it would work after they finished? Shannon said that she was doing exactly what I told her, Really. I told you that I didn't want my watch to work after it was repaired. I don't think so. After some time, she said that if I wanted it to run, it would $750-$1250. $1100 difference between running and not running. Seems like a bargain to me. NOT Update: 7/3/23 Sent the watch to Loring & Co for the same job Kimball's was asked to do. Guess what? The cost was only $100.00 and Loring&Co didn't have to open the case to remove the bezel but they did anyway to make sure it as a 'real' Rolex and to check the movement. They found that the timing was a tick off and made adjustment - no charge.....Guess who's getting my future business? Not Kimball's...

Ms. Elkins - As you know, we took on this project to make a custom class ring that would blend a High School and College that no class ring company would do for you. After our people and our off-site designer researched logos for both the High School and the College and produced the first image of the ring that, according to you, did not need to even have a certain logo, you began to want changes to the imagery, look of the ring, etc. Working with our CAD artist we produced five different versions of the ring and you still were not happy. We never gave you a "distorted" ring image but did attempt to bulk it up at your request. Finally, we came to the realization that you wanted almost a duplicate of a "name brand" class ring and our CAD artist was not comfortable duplicating another company's ring due to copyright issues. When you were told we couldn't proceed with the ring, then you told us you wanted one of the versions. Our off-site ring designer had decided not to continue work on the project because of all the changes that they expected would continue. Then you wanted to buy the CAD file and our off-site designer, who does not work for Kimball's, did not want to sell their CAD file so we had to upset you with that news. Again, there were five designs offered to you at no charge, and we were trying to make you happy. It is never our intent to work on a project for multiple months just to end up with no product the customer approves. We are glad to hear you have found another jeweler to work with on the ring. It is our hope that you get a ring that your son loves. Our best wishes to both you and the new jeweler making the ring.

Mr. Russell,As you know, a Rolex is a wonderfully complex chronometer that takes a year to produce. Opening up such a timepiece to pull one part off and put another on would damage the integrity of the watch components inside. As such, for Rolex to agree to just replace the bezel and send it back would not be the way such a watch is handled. Anytime that a Rolex is opened in such a manner, there is a need to have the watch serviced to insure that everything is in perfect working order upon returning it to the owner. Just because they can replace the bezel doesn't mean that that is all that should be done and that is what Shannon was telling you with the $750 to $1250 service cost. In order to insure your Rolex is returned to you in perfect working order, Rolex would need to service the watch while making the bezel change. We always send these repairs or changes to Rolex and they tell us how the repairs can be done and what they recommend. You only wanted the bezel changed. Again, while Rolex can do it, they were just telling us and you that opening the watch to do the bezel could have grave consequences unless the watch is fully serviced. Shannon was trying to make sure you understood what Rolex was telling us to tell you. I understand it might seem like a simple "switch" but there is far more that goes into the bezel "switch" and Rolex was attempting to make you as aware as possible of the consequences of doing the bezel "switch". We will be happy to speak to you further about this situation. As a Rolex owner, we want you to be as informed as possible about your timepiece. Thank you,Beth Evans
