Ive been really happy here. Staff is always friendly and I have no complaints in how they treat or care for my child, as I have with other childcare centers in Farragut. They have helped me successfully potty train my 2 year old which, as any parent will know, has been a dream. They have made a ton of great changes in the past year, so take old reviews with a grain of salt. They were also quick to get us in and didnt play games with a long waitlist.

I visit the business next door sometimes and hear loads and loads of verbal abuse from the teachers outside. I also see kids going unsupervised from time to time. They even mess with my dogs. One kid pulled his buttcheeks out - in front of a teacher mind you - to moon my dog. This place is hilarious to watch from the sidelines but I wouldnt personally leave my child here.

Kiddie Kottage has been the perfect fit for us. We have had two children in the threes and pre-K. Ms. Anne Marie is an amazing teacher. She is regimented and teaches these students, everything done in the classroom is purposefully planned. She makes learning fun and my daughter is blossoming in her speech, social skills, and writing. Ive had nothing but good interactions and experiences here. I love the posts and photographs of what is happening the classroom throughout the day. The staff here work hard and love these kids. My daughter would cry nonstop going into our previous childcare center. Here, she talks about her teacher and friends and is excited to walk in. This speaks volumes to me. My son graduated from their pre-k program last year and he still talks about Anne Marie.

My toddlers were sent home from Kiddie Kottage with a report from DHS on Friday stating Kiddie Kottage was in violation of state law due to leaving children unsupervised upon an unannounced visit. There have now been multiple safety risks and violations exposed in which my sons have been immediately unenrolled. This violation was filed roughly 2 weeks ago, yet Friday was the first time any parent has heard of it. No disclosure or apologies from teachers or directors. Absolutely unacceptable. They will also raise prices without notification or explanation, along with not disclosing statements (I asked multiple times over the span of 4 months without any explanation or given requested statements). There have been COUNTLESS of times I will receive a message 10 minutes before they open stating: you need to call before you drop your child off to see if theres a spot. As a single mother who works full time, this is extremely frustrating and poses instability for my children. Lastly, the management is extremely unprofessional. Upon a hand foot and mouth outbreak, I received a call stating my 2 year old needed to be picked up NOW. My child has had hand foot and mouth twice. I work in the medical field, have 5 children, and disclosed it is extremely unlikely for my child to have this again. The manager stated well even if I think he does he cant come back until there is a doctor note. Upon picking him up, he did not have even ONE bump on his entire body nor any symptoms. I still had to take him to his physician for a note. He was evaluated and cleared. His MD was in awe, as she was confused as to what she was even looking for. She proceeded to state she had never heard of such a bogus statement from a daycare in all of her years practicing. The same manager, who clearly does not know what she is doing, proceeded to take pictures of both of my sons after they were evaluated and cleared with a doctors note, sent it to the director stating they have a doctors note but I dont know, how do they look to you?. The bottom line is that the safety of children should be of utmost importance, in which they have failed; who knows how many times. Thankfully, the fact DHS did a surprise visit has given light to what is going on behind closed doors. Sketchy, unprofessional, and lack of stability. Hopefully the state will be shutting down this center entirely sooner rather than later. Highly do not recommend and absolutely will not be sending my children back, ever.
