Bruster's Real Ice Cream

My husband and I stopped in to get a treat. I ordered the orange sherbet (my favorite from here) , him cherry ice cream. My orange sherbet is beautiful, two large scoops almost falling off the cone. I bite into it and immediately hand it back to him to take back to the window . It was NOT the orange sherbet I ordered. It tasted like vanilla. The flavor was completely missing. He takes it back and I see him digging for his wallet. I am unnerved . When I order something, Ive ordered time and time again with consistency, that I cant expect consistency. And when we say something, we have to pay to get it replaced when it wasnt right? So , here I go, in the freezing weather to the window to make sure he doesnt pay for anything to correct the wrong he didnt make , Im met with I didnt make the ice cream cone and we make our ice cream fresh so the guy that made it sometimes does get it wrong and finally let me check with my shift leader to see what I can do. Its not rocket science. Its ice cream. It wasnt right. It wasnt what I ordered. There are several people within ear shot , so ask who made it ! Maybe it wasnt orange sherbet and there was a mistake made? No problem. Make a new one. Better yet, believe your customer . Im not going to lie that the flavor was off on my favorite Brusters treat. The one thing I order every time I go there because its usually that good. Color and consistency, great. Flavor, TOTALLY wrong. enable your employees, even the ones in training, to make a situation right without an argument and without conflict. Do the right thing immediately.
