    Very fast, very friendly and welcoming. Clean bright atmosphere and I was greeted at the desk with a warm smile. I was very nervous about my appointment but the technician was so sweet and made it much more pleasant. Eased my mind about the procedure, and didn't make it awkward. These are great folks. 10/10 AND got my results back that very afternoon!

    Summit Diagnostic Imaging (Fountain City) is a superb facility with regard to front end staff (secretaries, technicians, etc). The facility is clean and the staff who answer phone calls are kind and genuinely compassionate. I have had many CT scans at this facility of my abdomen before, during, and after the COVID pandemic. The health care system of Jefferson County and Knox County has been worked extremely hard and are still playing catch up. Despite all of this stress and pressure Summit has continued to provide the same level of care. In other words, their standards have been high but Post-COVID they have been elevated. One employee who is truly in command of her job as a Radiologic Technician is Jamie. She has scanned my abdomen at least five time. Upon every scan she maintains the same professional integrity (well informed, compassionate, great listener, gathers all the facts, and exercises patience) that is beyond the mindset of every other radiologic technician I have encountered. For example, some technicians at hospitals I will not list have been brusque, rude, and overworked. Jamie, however, under all of the pressure of catch up post COVID is the example of an employee who deserves great pay, promotions, and recognition. Thank you Jamie. Your patience, compassion, and objective skills with regard to gathering facts, making CDs, protecting from falls, and being on time during your hectic schedule is profound and left a positive influence that could not go with recognition from my wife and I. We also thank everyone at Summit Diagnostic Imaging for your high standards of care over the eight months of my illness.

    I was sent here for a mammogram and ended up getting a call back. I specifically asked if I was going to be charged for the second mammogram and was told no. I was told I would have to pay for the ultrasound if they needed it and it would be around $200. I did have to have the ultrasound but I also had to pay for the second mammogram. I received two bills totalling around $500.00. This is something that is suppose to free or cheap for women. I would have never went back if they would have told me the truth about the cost. I don't recommend going here. I spoke to Linda and she stated they would help and write it off but MY insurance company won't allow her to do that. I won't ever be back for a mammogram because I can't afford it.

    First visit went as expected for a CT, although even then I was getting pushback from staff on why I was there with more questions than I would think are needed to perform the CT scan. The second visit was horrible. I got bloodwork and drank contrast to be told upon my visit that they could not do it due to being incapable of support any potential reactions of contrast dye. Additionally, I was getting more questions from the same individual around things like "Why are you here again?" and "Weren't you just here, what's different?". Obviously I love coming for fun and don't have some form of a major issue that needs the scan, right? Lastly, could someone not ask this question up front before you WASTE everyone's time and effort to get there + fast + get bloodwork + drink untasteful junk? Would not recommend, ask to go somewhere else. Closer to your house is not always better.
