Have you ever needed a craftsman and you just didnt know where to start looking? Well, that was my dilemma. Back in March of this year my wife and I decided to remodel our master bathroom for safety reasons. We had a very small shower and a huge bathtub, that was impossible to access. So, I began my search. I went to a couple of home improvement shows, however, there was only one company that I thought might be a possibility. I set up an appointment with them and they came and gave me an estimate. In the meanwhile, I was still looking and luckily I came across a company that has a very impressive website. The pictures told me the whole story. I contacted Mike Stephansen of Mike and Melissas Professional Tile Design. After talking with Mike and Melissa we decided to have them take on our project. My wife Sandra and I are very happy with the quality work they did remodeling our master bathroom. Mike and Melissa remodeled our bathroom, and it turned out beautifully. They were a joy to work with -friendly, professional, and holding themselves to a high standard of workmanship. First and foremost, contractors in general are hard to work with. Lets be real, does anyone actually get along with someone that works on their house? There is always something the goes wrong and some kind of miscommunication. This review is exactly that.. but with a twist. The problems that arose actually made us MORE confident in them and love them more. Hear me out When we first contacted Mike, we didnt know what we were getting into. We had a major water issue from the roof and remediation left our bathroom in complete disarray. Months later, life happened, and the master bathroom was the least of our worries. When a glimpse of stability was in sight, we could focus and looked into a remodel. Like most contractors, you have to wait forever to get on their schedule, just to have to wait further, just for them to tell you they are busy. We were worried that we would be without for a year or more. In jumps Mike and Melissa ready for rescue. From the beginning they were straight forward about very reasonable price, their role in remodeling, and gave us a thorough contract so nothing was left out. An accurate timeline was in place, and anticipation and excitement was building. Mike walked us through his process, helped us pick out tile, and was completely pleasant and honest. But like I said. Contractors suck but not Mike and Melissa. When any issue arose, things were handled respectfully, and the few problems encountered were seamlessly resolved. This is why Mike takes the cake. Most contractors/ remodelers arent this way. Mike makes bathroom remodels easy, fun, and dare I say pleasant? Personally, this is where Mike takes the gold medal. Not only was his work incredible, but they are sincere, personable, professional, and stand true to their word and work, before, during, and after the remodel. In fact, we are moving houses and I am actually looking forward to working with Mike and Melissa again on our next house. Who can actually say they look forward to having their contractor in their home? Please.. take my money! Haha. Also, their daughter is now besties with my two boys. Throughout the 6 week process, we decided to let the kids meet and they hit it off beautifully. Melissa was kind and thoughtful to not overstep boundaries within the customer relationship, but my kids now ask when their daughter is coming over to play. If youre looking for a remodel, look no further. Im not one to review, but Mike and Melissa deserve your business and have earned any future business with us. Mike is extremely talented and pays such attention to detail that nothing will go unnoticed. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!

Mike and Melissa make extra effort to ensure everything is plumb, level, and square. If all builders would make the effort it would make home remodels much easier. Mike and Melissa helped us complete a remodel of our bathroom and they also installed some Armstrong panel ceilings in the bathroom, our bedroom, and an upstairs foyer. The work was in Gathering which required them to drive for an hour and half one way each day! We were so glad that they were willing to make that sacrifice, since it is so hard to find qualified people do do work in Gatlinburg! And their work was excellent, no cutting corners, good communication, resulting in Two very happy customers!! We definitely recommend others to consider them for home renovation work!

Mike and Melissa took our master bathroom down to the studs and the results are amazing! We hired Professional Tile Design over other contractors because Mike made us feel comfortable from the start. He thoroughly explained his process, what the cost would be, and what would be expected from us. After we signed on he kept in touch to help us purchase tile, fixtures, etc.. Once they started the job, ours was the only job they worked on until it was completed to our satisfaction. We had a 1980's bathroom and toilet room that they turned into two light, airy, and modern rooms. They were extremely professional and responsive to what we needed and worked very hard to bring our vision to life. Mike had many great ideas and suggestions to make sure that we not only got what we wanted, but also guaranteed that it will last for years to come. The end result is a bathroom that we love. Both Mike and Melissa are a pleasure to work with and we would definitely hire them again for another project.
