SpringHill Suites by Marriott Knoxville at Turkey Creek

Our room was very spacious, the complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious but, the mold in the icebox/container that was in my room was definitely off putting all though I didn't use it. Nearby activities: There's plenty of fun things to do in down town Knoxville! Food & drinks: Texas Roadhouse, Walmart, and many other restaurants and foodie spots are close to the hotel.

We arrived well after midnight, exhausted. Housekeeping woke my family up at 9am tapping in the door and before I realized it they tried to barge into our room to check if we had left. The assistant manager said that is acceptable to them to knock on doors after 9am to check if people have left so they can clean the rooms and suggested that next time they can provide us with a Do Not Disturb sign. I told him this is a ridiculous policy since check out is 11am. What if my kids were getting dressed or something? Could have been worse. The assistant manager said this is normal policy and acceptable.

It's not a 5-star hotel, but it gets a five star rating from me in that it fulfilled all my expectations for a moderately priced stay. It was clean. Service was courteous and efficient. No hassles. Fine breakfast. We would stay here again.
