They will charge you for a series you canceled months ago and then never respond to emails. Make sure to triple check your bank account when using this studio!

I host trivia next door at Voodoo and was convinced to try out spin by one of my teams. It's been about a month and I'm still not amazing, but I walk out of every class feeling so motivated by the staff. I hate exercising and I'm just not very good at it, but the way the teachers break it down really helps me not hate myself. (10secs at 90rpm, 45secs on a gear 4, etc). It's pricey, but if you are like me and hate traditional exercising, give it a chance. Your butt is going to hurt the first couple of times, I promise you'll get used to it.

Used to be a great spin studio. However, the new owners have canceled most lunch hour classes and now use their customers paid for work out time to force their customers to listen to religious propaganda during their workouts. They also no longer respond to customer emails or complaints. Do yourself a favor and workout at the other spin studio in town.

I participated in the "Uplift" spin class yesterday with Tala and it was AMAZING! This was very out of character for me because my normal idea of exercising is a walk around my office. Tala invited me for her class (first one is free!) that meets on Sundays at 1:00 pm and I thought, why not? She assured me that I could go at my own pace and just see if I would enjoy it. Well, I more than enjoyed it! She helped me with the shoes (note, they hook into the pedals so your feet don't go flying) and then we got started! The uplifting music was great and it was remixed so I felt like I was 21 again a nightclub! The temperature in the room was really nice. I started sweating 10 minutes in, but I wasn't uncomfortable! Tala kept me (and the rest of the class) on track by telling us what was coming up next (level 5, 6 or 7) at 95 RPM or above - all the while focusing on the beat of the music. I'm not going to lie, I was sitting at 68-74 for most of the class, but my endorphins were coursing through my body, so I didn't care - I just kept going! By the last 3 pushes (level 2, 3 or 4) at 105 or above, I was DOING IT! Note: this is like going downhill on a mountain, so it was much easier, but still -- here is a 55 year old woman who doesn't exercise reaching between 105 and 115 RPM! The whole time, Tala was cheering us on and giving very clear instructions, so the time went by really quickly. It was fun! I can't believe I'm saying this more than 24 hours later, but I still feel a little buzz from the class. It must be the endorphins! This is a type of exercise that I really can do and want to do! I'll be back for more and will try out other sessions!
