This 1 star has nothing to do with the hospital staff I encountered during my procedure or with the procedure itself. The staff members were wonderful and kind, and the procedure went smoothly! This is 100% about the Covenant Health billing process. It feels like harassment. (And I paid!)
The week leading up to my MRI, I was called multiple times to pay my bill BEFORE the procedure, even though the voicemails stated it was an estimated cost. When I called back and said I wanted to wait till it was processed by my insurance company to pay the ACTUAL cost, the next message changed to say it HAD been run through my insurance and was not an estimated cost. (The phone tag was also annoying but I wouldn't leave a bad review only for that.) Anyway, I ended up paying the full balance at the hospital on the day of my procedure, with a receipt to prove it and the charge on my credit card.
Since then (over a month ago), I have received multiple emails to pay my bill online. After the 2nd or 3rd email, I called the 1-800 number and confirmed with someone on the phone that my bill was paid, but was told it could take a few weeks to process through the system. At that point it had already been a few weeks, but the person on the phone said she could see my payment details and then put a comment on my file that it was paid.
Since that phone call, I have received another email and now a letter in the mail. I truly feel harassed and it also makes me nervous that my payment somehow "got lost," even though I do have the receipt to prove it. I don't want this somehow ruining my credit score!
Can you please stop sending me billing notices? The next time I need a procedure done, I am seriously considering going elsewhere. I paid Covenant. Maybe consider not sending notices out the first month (or two) if payment processing takes a while. Or maybe figure out how to check before you send. It would actually save you money to not mail out "delinquency" letters to people who are not delinquent.
Medical procedures are already stressful enough.

$24.48. Yup- they’re threatening collection. We called to pay bill, they ran $2,448.00 on my cc!!! Called office, they giggled. Instead of crediting the improper amt, they credited $2,432.52 back to our cc. Done, right? Nope. They’re harassing us with texts, em , calls and bills. Explained it NUMEROUS times to office, dumb as a box of rocks! Great hospital, incompetent billing staff!

The lack of customer contact via their own so-called phone system is totally ridiculous. Waiting over 10 min. for someone to pick up a phone is uncalled for they could avoid all this with leaving a msg. or text.

This is not the facility I am unhappy with but it is the corporate so here it is. I recently had 2 stays in Park West Hospital and found Dr Brooks whom I must say I really love. He is very knowledgeable and very caring Doctor. He will be my Doctor until I die. Now because of him I decided to try and find my primary doctor at Covenant West I believe its called and put in a request to see Dr Andrew Goins. This is where it falls apart, because he turned me down because I take oxycodone. To me this is discriminatory and simple minded thinking. I am not asking for him to give me the meds but I do have other medical issues that need to be addressed. When it comes to Covenant Group I am very happy with the Hospital and extremely happy with Dr Brooks but can not understand this simple minded thinking towards some one because they take pain medicine. I am proven guilty with out so much as a trial or at least an interview. I am so insulted and unhappy with this kind of thinking. It is automatically assumed I am an addict with out any investigation at all
Maybe you should have called me I already called you once and you turned me down!!
