        The staff extended a warm welcome and were very helpful. The facilities were impeccably clean! We loved having a cute patio area with furniture and fire pit. We cherished a delightful morning stroll along the beautiful river bank. This is our second time staying overnight at a KAO site during our AT hiking travels and very pleased with our time here.         This place really is a hidden gem! I had the fortune of staying in the Deluxe Cabin and was blown away by the comfort and quality. While it was just myself, the cabin comes with more than enough space to sleep some family and friends and has an awesome full bathroom. Big though :), this doesnt mean much, as youll spend most of your time on the porch next to your own fire pit, grill, and rocking chairs! Most of my time was spent exploring the pristine property, enjoying the Nolichucky river that pretty much runs through the property, and downtown Jonesborough. The location is amazing, with a few small towns to explore, and larger cities all within an hour drive (Johnson City, Bristol, Asheville). If youre looking for a home base while you explore Western Carolina and East Tennessee, be sure to put this on your list!

        What a great place! The customer service alone is worth the trip to this KOA! The manager Ronda was great so friendly and helpful, all the staff were just amazing! The bathrooms are incredible, so clean and even come with bathmat towels for the showers! There are two loops an upper loop and a lower loop which is right on the Nolichucky River! What a beautiful location, worth every dime to stay here! They even have a one bedroom cabin that sleeps 6, a vintage trailer and a Train caboose that is like 2 hotel room's that you can stay in, if you don't have your own tent or trailer. Amazing place, all five miles right off Interstate 26 in Erwin, TN! They are opening up their upper loop this winter for folks like us who like to adventure out in the winter months! They even have weekly winter special rates, that includes full hook ups and cable and internet as always! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!

      Welcome to the Jonesborough / Cherokee NF KOA! BOOKING FOR 2022 BEGINS ON JAN 1ST ONLINE ONLY. Relaxation is required at our small, family friendly, boutique campground located directly on the banks of the Nolichucky River. If you're looking for excitement you can explore Tennessee's oldest established town and the home of the International Storytelling Center, enjoy family entertainment at Wetlands Water Park, or Bright's Zoo. Take advantage of the gorgeous Cherokee National Forest with hiking galore, or relax and enjoy the Nolichucky River at your campsite. New for 2022- sluice for treasures in our gem mine or upgrade your vacation by staying in one of our premium deluxe patio sites.  Make a memorable experience by glamping  in our rare 1949 vintage camper, caboose rooms, or deluxe cabin with room for the whole family.  We are in close proximity to Erwin, Johnson City, ETSU, and a short 50 minutes to Asheville, NC. Join us in creating memories by connecting with those you love and with nature!
