Mr K's Used Books, Music and More

Hi Megan, my name is Mike Phillips, and I am the manager of Mr. K's Used Books in Johnson City, TN. I would like to address some of the concerns raised in your review. First, as to our “very high price[s],” I would point out that of the eight books that you purchased, three of them were new books, not used copies, and this accounted for 53% of your total expenditure. As to the condition of the books, each book we sell is checked at least twice before it goes out on the sales floor. While I am not saying that we always catch every single defect, I can say that our inventory is carefully examined before we put it out for sale. In the event that a customer finds that an item that they have purchased from us is defective, we are always happy to make it right. With respect to our bathrooms, we clean them every day, and our staff members utilize those same bathrooms throughout the day so as to make sure that any messes are discovered and cleaned quickly. And as for being followed around the store, we do have staff members out on the sales floor throughout the day, straightening the shelves and helping customers find items, so if you saw one of our employees walking around the sales floor, they were just trying to assist customers.
