My first comment relates to some of these reviews. The public needs to understand that Dr. Reeves is an ophthalmologist, or a medical doctor who specializes in the treatment of the eyes. It is the same as consulting with a cardiologist or neurologist. There has been some comparison between him and an optometrist which he is not. Having said that, I have been seeing Dr. Reeves for nearly ten years. He has always been detail oriented and taken the time necessary to evaluate my eyes and answer any questions I have ever had. Dr. Reeves was the only Physician that ever correctly diagnosed my having a condition called pseudotumor cerebri that literally dozens of specialists had tried to find out the cause of my symptoms. I have literally spent a week at Mayo Clinic and a week at Vanderbilt University with M.D's and M.D. Ph.D's trying to figure out why my blood pressure and heart rate were seemingly unresponsive to normal treatment protocols. Dr. Reeves listened to my symptoms and then ordered a group of studies including a MRI of my head and a Spinal Tap.Thanks to Dr. Reeves my blood pressure is well controlled now after treatment for the pseudotumor cerebri. Dr. Reeves also performed my custom blade-less lasik. He did an amazing job. After the procedure my vision was corrected to 20/10. That was roughly 8 years ago and even now as I approach 40 my vision still is 20/20. In the years since I have know Dr. Reeves I have referred numerous family members to him for care including my mother when she had cataract surgery. Dr. Reeves is the ONLY Physician I trust to literally cut the front of my eye open and fire laser beams in my eye. The care I have received at the institute has been second to none.
