Would give 0 stars if possible. Longest wait times I've ever experienced in an ER, it's like they forgot the E stands for EMERGENCY!!!! Honestly if you're in serious condition or close to death it'd be better to just drink a Bottle of Everclear and dance in the interstate than to try to come here.

Was supposed to get a CT scan on my heart and was called on Monday and Thursday by a pre registration lady named Kelly. On monday, she told me my insurance was inactive, when it was in fact active. I called me insurance and they told me yes it was active and then gave Kelly a call. Then on Thursday, was told Id owe $0 besides a copay for my CT scan. I made sure that was correct 3 times before I hung up on that Thursday. My scan was the next day so I went in and got checked in and then was told it would be $1,475. I told them the other lady told me I wouldnt owe anything and they shrugged me off. I cried and then told them to cancel it and left because Im 23, I cant afford that right now even with monthly payments. I know now bc it was from my deductible not being reached, but Kelly should have known that and shouldnt have told me I wouldnt have to pay anything. Shouldnt have told me the wrong information for an extremely important scan. I need that CT scan because of my father had to have open heart surgery because of an artery being pinched by 2 others and acting as if it was a heart attack. This is also genetic, and has no symptoms until youre having the heart attack. Do better ballad. Youre one of the biggest hospitals in the Tri cities area and yet you still are awful at what you do. What a waste and a shame.

Could not exist a worse "health system" in all of the USA, except maybe a US territory like Puerto Rico. Its not the employees who stayed thru the merger into a MONOPOLY is the fault of the CEO, the board, the COPA (what a joke, oversight board) in TN, and all in top Management positions. Including the Ballad Corporate Owned PHYSICIANS. They all sold their souls, to sell every patient out, when even a majority of MD's could have prevented this gutting of our entire region's healthcare, in forming a MONOPOLY that even the US Federal Anti-Trust Division Opposed. Will never forget Gov's Haslam of TN & Gov Terry McAuliffe all signed special waivers to allow the creation of this truly EVIL entity, to scourge & scam our entire Northeast TN/Southwest VA region. Don't forget ETSU President Brian Noland, & JC Chamber Of Commerce were two of the first big 'advocates' of this destruction of our healthcare. As was the man who was really behind it all early, William Greene, whose name is on the ETSU football stadium. Our local reps to TN, our local Senators to TN, also did the heavy lifting all while one Senator was even on their Payroll, in addition to his State Senator Job. Shame will live upon them all for generations.
