I heard they wont even take you as a patient anymore at all here unless you are member now? And that the members are picked, and chose. I wanted to know if this is true? I would like to know stipulations to being able to be a patient here. Thank you!

1st off applied online got an email saying I was accepted and would hear something within 3 days after 4 days I called this company to see about making an appointment and was told I was not accepted I had to go through a meet and greet with the doctor to see if I would be accepted but I would have a phone call back that day 4 times later I called saying no one ever called me and was promised by Bryan the office manager that someone would call me again that day and again did not hear anything so I waited another week and called and with frustration ask what I could do to make this move forward and was told to hold that the doctor Would be on the line momentarily and then 3 minutes later comes back and tells me that the doctor decided I was not a good fit so it's obvious they are upset with me because I called multiple times yet they are not upset at all for any of their people lying to me for 2 weeks so beware going to this doctor as they don't care to say whatever just to get your business

To be fully transparent I visited almost 2 yrs ago but never put up a review on google. This was the experience I had and the review I left on their Facebook page at that time. So keep in mind this is based off of a visit 2 yrs ago and Im now 13 yrs in recovery. I hope they have changed how they treat recovering addicts. I always review on google but I was so upset over the experience that I forgot too and I think its important. I will add they did to reach out to me via fb messenger after leaving my review but I didnt want to discuss it with them, I applaud them for reaching out but unless the topics on how they could change as treating those in recovery as human patients with feelings that are already discriminated against (regardless how long we been sober) then the convo would have been only adding to the negative experience so I chose not to respond. As a RECOVERING addict, doctors can often be intimidating. I have made a strict policy of telling doctors as soon as see them that Im in recovery (11 years now). I went to Patmos months back bc my seizures broke thru (I have epilepsy) and my nuero dr couldnt get me in right that second. I had heard such good things about the place however hadnt been there in over 10 years so couldnt really remember much about it. I had no sooner told the dr I was in recovery that he said he couldnt treat me. I left the parking lot in tears. Ive worked hard to get myself in a good place with my sobriety for this long & Im used to being judged... but even when you are honest (bc thats part of the program of recovery) and upfront & not seeking narcotics, to be dismissed so easily was heart breaking. So no, I would not recommend this place. It really pains me to give such a negative review to a local place in my hometown but I have to based off my experience. I pray that God blesses them with compassion & understanding ESPECIALLY when dealing with such a touchy topic that someone is so honest about. I understood his hesitation bc most drs dealing with addicts be they in recovery or still using but I didnt understand to be just dismissed.
