Lotterdale Cove Recreation Area

There was the sweetest little stray kitty cat that staff didn't really seem to care about, and a stray dog that some jerk left behind (he left three...the other two have been picked up) that staff had not pressed to capture. He approached aggressively and was growling at children, so they really need to deal with that. This is mostly residential campground with a few spots for the travelers (none of the good ones), so it wasn't quite as chatty as some other campgrounds, but it was very quiet at night so that part is perfect. Nice little beach area, but not much else to do since the hiking trails aren't really kept up. Leaf blowing ALL...DAMN...MORNING, so that really just ruins the ambiance. It really was constant, so don't come in the fall months! Bathrooms, however, we CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN! I did appreciate that. Gate locks at ten pm so if you decide to go into town and have some dinner, make sure you're home by then or you you have to park at the gate and walk back to your site! Nope...wouldn't go back.
