While I did have to wait several hours on the first appointment, I understand things can happen with emergencies and such. I found every person working at this clinic to be of the highest quality caliber. From the staff at the front desk to the ultrasound technician to the nurse practitioners and to Dr. Winkler. All are so very friendly and empathetic to the patients. Dr. Gabor Winkler had the most amazing bedside manner or any doctor I've had in my life (I'm in my 50s). He performed a vein procedure on me and just was kind and attentive. I highly recommend this clinic if you are considering a consultation.

THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELDERLY. They will the your money before they do any care. We got there at 1030am for our 1100am appt. 3 hours later, they told us that it would be at least another hour before they would even take us back. Come to find out, the Dr. decided to add a bunch of cases and overbooked himself. The Dr knows his patients are mostly elderly so they have no choice but to wait the long hours. Extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate.

About PracticeÂThe Vascular & Vein Institute of the South is the largest group of board-certified vascular surgeons in the Mid-South. We have the lowest amputation rate in the region and serve as the premier center for limb preservation and restoring blood flow to the legs. Taking the time to find the right surgeon can be the difference between life and death. Many physicians operating on blood vessels within the Mid-South region are general surgeons, radiologists and cardiologists. Every provider at any of our eight locations is either a board-certified vascular surgeon, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon, or specialty nurse practitioner. We provide individualized, patient-centered care to each new person who comes through our doors. Our providers personally work with each patient to create a comprehensive, targeted treatment plan, combining medical treatment with wellness and lifestyle changes. We promise exceptional patient care by utilizing the highest quality products and equipment available. Our expertise attracts patients from across the Mid-South and beyond, seeking treatment for a wide range of conditions, including carotid artery disease, varicose and spider vein care, uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), dialysis access, deep venous thrombosis (DVT), and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Thanks to our specialization in peripheral arterial disease (PAD) and our ability to address blood vessel blockages in the legs, we are the primary referral source for patients in the region experiencing leg pain, ulcers, and gangrene, with a primary focus on amputation prevention. Our clinics offer state-of-the-art laboratory and diagnostic testing for arterial and venous diagnostic testing (including in-house ultrasound) and patients can typically get an appointment within one week (and, in urgent cases, within 24 hours). When you need a trusted vascular surgery provider, look no further than the Vascular & Vein Institute of the South.
