Covenant Construction

I had all of the outlets in my living room and kitchen replaced by covenant. I also had a ceiling fan wired and installed, which I love, and it looks great! However, I discovered that they used Cu-only outlets and switches on my aluminum wiring, as well as Cu-Al pigtails with wire nuts not properly rated for a Cu-Al connection. When having them come out because my ceiling fan lost power (unrelated issue that led to me discovering this error, I didnt realize the gfi was tripped in the garage), they apologized and told me theyd come back out and fix it for minimum charge. I opted to decline this offer as Id already paid them over $2,000 for the receptacle replacements and ceiling fan wire/install. Instead I bought a torque screwdriver and some alumiconn connectors (HIGHLY recommend if you have aluminum wiring but cant afford a full rewire, or just replace with CO/ALR switches) and my boyfriend and I were able to wire copper at all of the connections. Rating four stars because they are nice people, but if you have aluminum wiring make sure they are using properly rated receptacles and connectors. Update 8/13/22. The owner called me this morning. He was upset about my review. I do understand they came out and fixed the ceiling fan because I didnt know about a tripped gfi. I acknowledged that and yes Im happy about the fact that they came out and did that as I explained above. I explained my review was honest and that they didnt use the proper receptacles for aluminum wiring. I could have been a lot less understanding about it. He said oh yeah youre the professional that couldnt figure out a gfi. I explained again that it wasnt about that, and he said your warranty is gone, this is bull****, dont call me again. And I said okay, thank you. Even after this, I still hold to the fact that theyre nice people and Ive seen really good photos of their construction work, I just wanted to post my honest experience.

I am very pleased at the work done on my garage. They were neat, friendly, and always on time. They never left a mess by cleaning up at the end of the day. My garage looks better now than when it was new. I will definitely use them again if I need work done on my house.

I called Covenant Construction and they came and helped me out. They gave me great advice and I will definitely use them from now on!

Didnt do the job right at all. Knew the prices were probably too good to be true. I then requested they come properly do the electrical work that I initially hired them to complete, and no text or call back after multiple attempts. Scam of a company
