We have been trying since January to communicate with the host over a cancellation. She has NOT ONCE contacted us. We have gone through VRBO several times now and she finally answered them today (our stay dates were April 28 - May 1, 2023) The host refused to speak with me directly and stated to the customer service rep she communicated a possible date change. There was NO COMMUNICATION what so ever from this individual. We put down a large deposit for our stay. For there to be NO communication for close to 5 months regardless of the situation is unacceptable. She refuses to even return the cleaning fee, or lodging taxes even though WE ARE NOT STAYING THERE! The fact that there is no accountability on the VRBO end as well is awful. This host gets to keep a large amount of money, not even have the decency to speak to us, and VRBO cant do a thing about it. I will NEVER book through VRBO again! DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN! The host will not communicate with you at all!
