        I'm very apprehensive about going to a restaurant I've never been to before because too many times I have wasted good money on bad food. I'm new to Elizabethton and decided to give Captain D a try. The food was good and the young lady at the take out window was a sweetheart. I will stop there again. Page 2 a couple months later: Food is usually good. I tried the battered fish tonight and yuck. The battered crust was very greasy and doughy. Revision: on a recent visit the cole slaw didn't seem fresh. I was kinda afraid to eat it. Had I dined in I would have returned it.

      At our Elizabethton, TN location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
