Shon and her amazing team truly treat my Mom and her roommate(s) as though they are important and special. Ive never seen them impatient or angry with any of the residents at Signature Healthcare at Elizabethton. They are truly amazing men and women who serve our loved ones individually and from their hearts.

Signature Healthcare did an excellent job of taking care of my father! From the Director of Nursing to the staff and physical therapy they treated him with the utmost care! I appreciate all they did and would recommend them to anyone! Thank you to all the workers that helped my dad come home to us you will forever be on our hearts!

Some of the nurses, and CNAs here are just okay. The best CNA they have is Desray as shes very sweet, genuine, and she truly cares about her patients well being. The food here is pretty disgusting, and isnt fit to eat. The CNA Brenda DOES NOT need to be working with peoples loved ones, and they shouldve fired her a long time ago. The only thing this place has going for them is the physical, and occupational therapists. This definitely wouldnt be my first pick. I only came here, because I had to, and where I requested to go for therapy was full with no empty beds.

My husband's aunt was placed at this facility after she had a massive stroke that caused her to have a pressure wound after she laid at home for 3 days until she was found. She initially had rehab at a facility in Virginia and they were unable to heal her wound or make progress in therapy. She transferred to Elizabethton for additional care. We couldn't be happier with her care. The nursing staff were excellent and really helped her wound close and the rehab she received allowed her to return to her home. I can't recommend this facility enough.

My Mother is in this facility and I live a ways away from there, and I'm a disabled veteran. So, I called to check on Mom cause my family told me she had fallen a couple of times and I wanted to find out how and why. I called and ask for Autumn (Mom's nurse). She gets on the phone and I tell her I'm her son and I ask about some of Mom's meds. Well, Autumn answers my questions about a certain medicine and tells me that she was asleep. Then, I went to ask another question and THEN she said " I can't talk to you, you are NOT on the list of people that I can talk to"! After, she had already told me about that certain medicine and that she was sleeping. Then I had to get another family member to call and tell Autumn that I WAS in fact Mom's son. That was NOT a problem BUT Autumn SHOULD NOT release the most private stuff and THEN cut me off. I call back after my sister-in-law called and I told Autumn that I thought she handled that TOTALLY WRONG and she said "did you call to fuss or ask about your Mom". Of course, I called to ask about Mom but I also needed to let her know she was RUDE about it and then she said "I was yelling and belligerent" AND HUNG UP ON ME!!! I WAS NOT YELLING, MY VOICE NEVER CHANGED AND I SURE WASN'T BELLIGERENT!!! Lastly, I called back and Christine answered this time when Autumn had answered right before. I ask to speak to administration or who ever was in charge (this was a SATURDAY) and Christine said "there is NO supervisors of any kind until MONDAY!! The place was running WITH NO ONE IN CHARGE OR SUPERVISORS TO MAKE SURE IT WAS RUNNING PROPERLY, CAUSE CLEARLY, IT WAS NOT RUNNING PROPERLY!!!! Oh, and I forgot to add, that I still COULD NOT call and ask about Mom unless she was there cause my name would NOT be added to "the list" until Monday!!! So NOBODY is in charge the WHOLE WEEKEND!!! HOW DO WE KNOW THEY ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE CALL AND GET TREATED LIKE THAT AND HANG UP ON FAMILY MEMBERS!! THE ONLY WAY THEY (AUTUMN) CAN GET BY WITH THAT IS BECAUSE NO SUPERVISION!! MOM HAD ONLY BEEN THERE MAYBE 48 HOURS OR SO AND THAT'S THE WAY THEY TALK TO FAMILY!! MAKES YOU WONDER HOW THEY ARE TALKING TO OUR LOVED ONES!!! MAYBE A GREAT PLACE BUT CAN'T PROVE IT BY ME AND MY FAMILY!!
