We appreciate you working for your child’s wellbeing. Please understand we do everything we can to ensure care of the many in the county who need mental health help. We have a very long waiting list and ask that all confirm their appointments to provide this much needed service to those in need. We apologize too for contacting your son. We were provided his number, or we would not have reached out when we could not confirm on the other number provided. Our system is to contact to confirm at least 2 days in advance and when this cannot be done, we must in all good consciousness provide the appointment to the next client. We waited until the evening before to cancel the appointment, after attempting to confirm for two days. We apologize for any inconvenience and perceived lack of empathy, as it was never our intention. We value all our clients and commend caregivers as well. And to clarify for our employee Melissa, she was not working that day.This policy was created after observing new client appointments for six months. Out of 30 new appointments, where we were not able to contact the client to confirm, 29 did not show up. That was 29 other clients in need who were not able to be provided care, we could have offered. We were provided with the wrong number of the one who attended, and we arrived early the next day to get that client in. If an opportunity had been provided, we would have done what we could to get your son in later that week.
