I cannot say Dr. Burgess is a bad dentist, but I can say that if he is not on your insurance, be careful! Two years ago, I was a patient of his, but then my state insurance changed, so I had to find another dentist. Well last Thursday, one of my front crowns came off, and my dentist was out of office, due to having a heart attack. Since I had been a previous patient, I called them and they took me in quickly, which I greatly appreciated. The resealed crown was a 5 minute procedure. But the cost was $152.00, but I wrote them a check, so they gave me a 5% discount. Final amount $144.40! Talking about taking my breath away. Since then I have checked other dentist offices, they are much less and my dentist, on occasion, doesn't charge anything at all, depending on the circumstance. I just don't understand how some doctors/dentists operate. But to say the least, I am very unhappy with the overcharging and taken advantage of.
