Short course, odd layout, and not as nicely manicured as it could or should be. Also a number of greens (at least four that I recall specifically) appeared to have a disease or rot which created a dimpled/pocked surface in some spots. Despite being short, the course can be challenging given that it's relatively tight and the greens are small requiring precision on approach shots. Virtually all of the bunkers were reasonably well manicured.

It kicks my but and yours! I hear guys whine about " It's tight..." and it is. If you need to BOMB the ball don't go here. If you want to learn to play the game, this is the place for you. New greens are growing in now and will be wonderful by spring. December 2013 update Played on a cold & damp day. The greens are in pretty good shape. Nothing smoother than good bent grass. Still as tight as it was the first time I played it 19 years ago. The trees are taller & force me to play straight on #9 & #12. If you have a friend that sprays it & you want to beat him badly, bring him here!

This course is a real dog track. When I played the course, crab grass all in the fairways and some of the greens were completely gone.
