Anyone that cares to take the time to read our review responses would know that (our opinion) the main problem in a "bad" review is the fact that there is two sides to a story and only one gets told when someone is writing a poor review. With that, just to try and clear up a couple of things for anyone that may read some of the reviews in an attempt to choose an auto repair/tire shop. 1.) Nothing has changed in the way that G.T. Tire views its customers or the community, society has changed a great deal, the general public and the lack of patience has changed a great deal, because of these and many other changes we have had to adapt, just as any other retail business would have to. 2.) Again, because of changes beyond our control we started scheduling appointments for our tire bays in early 2020, do to the major changes in the automotive and tire industry the same everyday jobs we have always done now take on average almost twice the time to complete. Things like tire sizes, larger wheels, no longer being able to "plug" tires but instead having to remove the tire and patching from the inside, tire pressure monitoring systems, active suspension adjustment systems, the list is a long one. Because of this the large majority of our customers were getting frustrated that they could not schedule appointments for the tire work needed, most days before we worked off of appointment if you came in for a tire repair we would have on average a 3 hour wait of people that had already arrived and were in need of the same thing, except we could offer no option to set a time for a bit later, all we could offer was to try again later and hopefully we can help. 3.) We understand that not everyone will be happy with our decisions, we understand that some people will get upset and see things as they wish, such as seeing employees during the 5 minute window between appointments, but at the end of the day we can only do the best we can with the man power and time we have in a day. In response to the above review, we do appreciate your business over the years, but one thing is for sure, we have not changed the way feel about our customers or our community, most of the time there is more than meets the eye, and all we can do is try to choose the best option in a situation when there are no good options. We haven't changed from "old ways" we are just having to navigate the "new ways" that are now the normal for retail business. Hello, as the owner of G.T. Discount Tire I like to do all that I can to stay up to date with our online reviews as well as any kind of customer feedback. We are a small, locally owned, single location business, so customer satisfaction is extremely important to us. I tend to have mixed feelings about online (public) feedback platforms, on one hand it is a very good source for customers to get a general idea about a small business like ours to decide if they would like to do business with us. On the other hand, in most cases there is very little if any oversight that keeps someone from spreading false information or in many cases complete lies about a business. Overall I feel that online reviews are mostly helpful for a small business like ours as it helps folks find us and can hopefully give them idea that our customer satisfaction is by far our #1 priority. As we all know, nobody is perfect and mistakes happen, but we can assure our customers that if we do make a mistake we will always stand behind our work and keep customer satisfaction a top priority. To address the above review, this post was the first I had heard of this issue, it was never brought to my attention by a customer, after looking back in our system I was not able to find a transaction or a customer account under this name. We have gone through all of our recent online price quotes that followed up with a tire purchase from us, every instance was indeed the same exact price that was quoted. Our installation labor is ALWAYS included in our quote, we do not and have never tried to slip in "add ons" after the quote, we feel that if a customer is buying tires from us the installation process is part of that. Our invoicing system breaks down the charges somewhat because our local and state governments impose a "fee" or "tax" on tire disposal and require it to be listed separately. With all of that, I would like to let it be known that G.T. Discount Tire has been in business since 1977, we are a locally owned and operated third generation family business. While we may make mistakes from time to time we can assure all of our customers that we will never try to add, hide, or change anything in an attempt to take advantage or mislead anyone. I could not find record of the above claims in our system, but if something like this happened I can guarantee with 100% certainty it would be a clerical error and we would do whatever it took to make things right if it were brought to our attention!
