Rice Kitchen Sushi & Hibachi

great food & the chef went out of his way to make my little boy fries even though they dont normally serve them. 10/10

We loved this place when it was owned by the previous people so we decided to try it a few days ago. We got the hibachi steak and chicken combo and the food was so bad that we couldnt possibly eat it. I ate 2 bites to make sure it really was as bad as I thought, my husband barely got the first bite down. Normally I would have politely said something, but it was clear that the waitress was uncomfortable with the cook and there was a language barrier between them. We LOVE hibachi and eat it regularly so that definitely was not the issue. I didnt want to make the rest of her shift worse so I begrudgingly paid the $32 check (for one meal), tipped the waitress well and left. The meat barely had any flavor and what was there was funky, the rice was extremely bland, the sweet carrots were still hard so we didnt even taste them. For those of you that lost your taste when you had the dreaded virus that is exactly what this meal was like. They had great reviews, but I now realize they were all about the sushi which we do not eat. If you love sushi this may be your new spot, but for anyone looking for hibachi this is NOT it!!!
