Baymont by Wyndham Chattanooga/Hamilton Place

Decent location off the interstate. That is where the positive stops. Rooms are being updated, but NOT cleaned. Drywall chunks and dust everywhere, cigarette burns in the blanket, who knows what on the door frame, crumbling concrete steps to the upper level, breakfast is advertised but non existent, management won't work on any of this or offer a price break. Drive another 10-20 minutes and find anything better

We saw on Wyndham's website that they were advertising the hotel having a free breakfast and calling directly asked for if they had any rooms with 2 beds and a sofa bed such that it could sleep 4 people. The person on the phone at the front desk of confirmed to me that they did have a room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. Upon getting to the location late at night we paid for the room and then the attendant who previously said that a room was available on the phone spent 20 minutes walking around to find a room to no avail. At that point he rudely told us that he could issue us a refund or we could that would take a few days to fully process or we could take another room with 2 queen beds for an extra 80 dollars on-top of the 100 + 50 deposit we already paid. Given how late it was in the night and how tired my party of travellers were we decided on staying. At the time of our arrival the hotel was in the middle of a renovation and this was abundantly clear in the dirty floors of our room, the mess everywhere outside the motel and most jarringly, switch panels in the bathroom with exposed wiring. The decor of the room was fine. All of this is to say that the motel shouldn't have been open in the first place until after renovations were completed. It should be delisted from search rankings until which point it's able to deliver on the amenities and room types it claims to offer. Food & drinks: There's a bunch of food places nearby. It's also close to the interstate and near to a Tesla charging station.

The entire area is being renovated, so it's kind of a construction mess in some places. The rooms have been renovated and looked very nice. There are no bath tubs in any rooms now, and the showers do not have places (niches) to put your soap or shampoo. I had to put it on the ground. There was not a single trash can in my room. When I asked for one, the guy told me he would have to find me one. None of the amenities were available like I was told when booking. We had to go to the store and buy a bag of ice since the ice machine was not available either. When I checked out the next morning, the office manager was very nice and apologetic about the inconvenience. I understand that these things happen, but I wish I had known when I booked the room. I have to say that all in all, I would probably stay here again. Rooms: Rooms were recently renovated. They were very nice and comfortable. All rooms have stand up showers only, no bath tubs. Safety: All the hotels around have police patrols often.
