I was offered a job with this company sight unseen. The "manager" hired me for a location that later turned out to be nowhere near the location originally stated - that was the first red flag. She wanted me to go to a "client" literally in the middle of nowhere, 30 minutes out of town and nowhere near the location advertised. I was asked to provide sensitive information for a background check- after sharing this information (against my better judgment) I asked about filling out the paperwork for my pay, obtain timesheets, work badge, etc but was told we would have to do it later. I tried to insist I could not start working until this was done, and she pressured me by saying she'd already told the client I was coming on Monday and implied if I didn't go I'd be proving I'm not dependable... I texted the next day to say I was too uncomfortable with this, that the whole thing was very unprofessional and asked her to confirm when my sensitive information was properly erased. It's been 2 days and I still have not recieved confirmation or any response from this person. I believe I have been a victim of a scam, and possibly identity theft. I would advise any potential clients or caregivers to stay away from this company- if I do not have a response by tomorrow I will be reporting this company and the person involved to the police.
