Retirement Renegade

About two years ago I retired from a 40+ year career in financial services in the upper Midwest. My wife and I moved to the Nashville area to be close to family, particularly our four young grandkids. Through the years we saved and invested wisely for retirement and built a very successful nest egg. We had some good advice from a couple of financial advisors as we were in this accumulation stage. It was now time to start enjoying the fruits of our labor. We wanted to find someone in the area that could help us with that. While perusing Facebook one day, I ran across a sponsored post from Retirement Renegade inviting interested people in a movie theatre showing of The Retirement Deception. It was there we met the company President Andrew Winnett. We wanted to learn more details, so we met with Andrew personally at his office. He gave us a book he authored called The Joseph Strategy. It was there he laid out the accumulation/DE-cumulation strategy for retirement. It really resonated with us. He then sat down and tailored a detailed plan assessing our needs and wants and structuring it with the assets we accumulated. We loved it! I recently retired and had invested in a variable annuity about 20 years ago, so I was ready to "turn on " the income stream from it. However, I caught one of Andrew's radio shows and the things he said resonated with me. I sent for the info package and the Silo Strategy book made a lot of sense to the point that I decided to meet with Andrew before taking any action with my existing annuity. It's a good thing I did! I learned several things: 1. I was not locking into my annuity and could roll it over into a new product. 2. The product Andrew recommended gave me more income because it included a 25% bonus added to my investment. 3. The monthly amount increases every year to counter inflation. 4. There is a Long Term Care component. If one of us (my wife or me) needs long term care, the monthly income is doubled for up to 5 years. So, add in Andrew's Biblical foundations and client-focused spirit, it was a no-brainer for me. Prepare to be pampered!
