Finish Line Diner

My little boy and me stopped in here on Friday afternoon and both of the ladies working were so sweet to my son and to myself and he got a hotdog which he loved and even though it wasn't on the menu they made me a roasted turkey bacon cheese and tomato sandwich that was so dang good I felt like I was back 20 years on my mamaws front porch eating garden tomatoes on a sandwich just like this. Thank you ladies for taking me back and for being so sweet to my son and me. You truly are amazing and I thank you !!! Great little spot, a hometown diner. Prices are low and the food is great. We stopped for breakfast which was delicious. Tenderloin had a bit of a weird flavor, but every other thing was picture perfect. Waitress was nice and attentive. Parking: Large gravel lot adjacent to restaurant. Room for big trucks as well as cars. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and good atmosphere.

When you are in Bristol, TN, do yourself a favor and visit here and eat their cheeseburger! AMAZING!!!

I recently accompanied a couple coworkers for lunch. We checked out the menus & as I was reviewing the multitude of additional menu items posted, I saw the daily special: chicken casserole, mashed potatoes, green beans & biscuit for $7.99. To whet my appetite, a plate of the special was on the counter awaiting a server to deliver it. I pointed out the special to one of the guys & a minute later, our server appeared to take our orders. I went to point at the special, but it was gone. It took me a minute to find a menu item to order & some time later, our food was brought out. I ended up with a burger - which was good, but couldn't fill that craving for the chicken casserole I had prepared myself for. To make matters worse, while we were eating, a single diner came in & sat at the table behind us. He inquired about the special & somehow, it was available to him. Although I appreciated that the food was tasty, their trick with the special was not appreciated a bit. I will probably dine here again, but it'll take a while for the sting of the special to wear off.
