    I would not recommended Suburban Propane. Cheaper is not always better. When I spoke to the sale representative, I was told that I would be getting a vertical tank rental, didn't have to sign a contract and if I every moved and/or replaced the tank, I would be paid for the remaining propane. On the day of my installation, I received a horizontal tank as they didn't have any vertical tanks in stock. I called Suburban to inquire about the tank and they told me they were no longer installing vertical tanks. After the tank installation, I received a email stating that I needed to sign a three year contract with a $150 early termination fee. This was no stated on the proposal I received or mentioned during my conversation with the sales representative. When I called an ask about this agreement, the customer service representative said the proposal was incorrect, I had to sign the agreements, would be liable for the early termination fee, and would not be reimbursed for the unused propane (that I purchased) if the tank to be removed. Lastly, I received two bills for the installation of the tank. Once from the Field Technician and via mail. The one received via mail was $50 more. When I called an asked about the difference, I was told that the one was an invoice and the other was a bill. I disagreed with the customer service rep and told her both the bill and invoice are the same and would be paying the less of the two. To conclude, I would not recommend Suburban as I was lied to by the Sales Representative and their Customer Service Representative was not helpful or willing to work with me at all.

    Amanda handled our concerns very efficiently and professionally. The propane truck got off our driveway a bit and crushed two planting buckets. The issue was resolved without delay and exceeded our expectations. Great customer support!

    This company has questionable billing practices. They charge an annual $120 fee, even if you do not need propane. This is in addition to their hefty annual tank rental fee. We do not use much propane in our home. So, even though I didn't call them for service, I am forced to pay $120 for a delivery that I don't need. They say that it's because they made the drive out. But I didn't even ask them to come out, nor did I need any propane! They have told me there is absolutely no way of getting around it. This is a shady way of forcing customers to pay ridiculous fees for no reason at all. The fees for Suburban Propane are crazy and they have not been easy to work with. I have no idea how this company gets away with this. I'm writing this review as a warning to others who may be considering using their services. PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE IF YOU NEED PROPANE.
