        Always enjoy stopping by. Staff is always friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Prices are great - we are regulars for their natural mulch and compost. Have also gotten blackjack compost multiple times and always get great results with our raised beds, and in-ground gardens. We grow vegetables and flowers mostly. Cant recommend the Compost Company enough!

        Blackjack is the best compost I've used. Everything I have planted this year has flourished. Currently growing dozens of luffa gourds and they are huge! Glad they aren't using manure from antibiotic/hormone laden farms. Will be ordering more!

        The company service is fine but the compost I bought is terrible. It began with my seeds and plants not thriving then after the recent rain, I find wood chunks that look like part charcoal as well as finding plastic bag pieces, pieces of plastic trash and even a few bullet casings. It looks like they incinerated trash and called it compost. No wonder my seedling die instead of thrive. Im disappointed and never intend to buy from them again.

        I purchased 5 yds of super soil raised bed mix march. I installed the soil in early April and planted some cool weather seeds. After 6 weeks, the seeds sprouted but grew very little. Stunted growth and yellow leaves. I had the soil tested at the University of TN soils lab. The soil test revealed that the soil was devoid of ammonium, extremely low of nitrate, phosphorus and magnesium Soto have any success with my garden, I'm forced to spend considerable money to get the soil where itwill support plant growth. The super soil isn't so super. I would strongly recommend not to buy this product for your garden. I called and inquired about the product and they assured me that they test it regularly. Just not for nutrients.

I hope that our team explained that our lower-priced Blackjack will contain some non-compostable material, as it is not as carefully screened as our other products. That's what allows us to offer it at a lower price point.
