Thanks to Johnathan for the help he gave me with my aircraft radios. He gave good advice on how to proceed my avionics upgrade. I will continue to work with him in the future.

TL;DR at the bottom. I flew into Tyson airport while ferrying my plane across the country. I noticed the struts on the main wheels were a bit low and so was the tire pressure on all tires so I asked them to put air in the tires and nitrogen in the strut. They ended up putting air in the front tires and REMOVING nitrogen from my front strut, leaving my front strut too low for the plane to use and billing me 1.5hrs of labor for the job. It doesnt take 1.5hrs of labor to put air in tires and remove nitrogen from the strut. Its a 20 minute job at most. I called Horizon and reported that they did maintenance I didnt authorize and my flight out was delayed because of it. Then, I had my plane moved back to Horizon and, after some argument the mechanic agreed to put some nitrogen in my strut. Essentially, I paid the company $159+ to put air in my tires. At my next fuel stop in Amarillo, TX, I asked the FBO to put nitrogen in the front strut because it was still too low. They put the nitrogen in on the spot. It took all of 10 mins and they charged me $50 for the work. I would absolutely not recommend Horizon for any work. TL;DR: I was grossly overcharged for very simple maintenance and had to pay another company in another state to get the job done right.

Hi All, Just a quick shout out to Mr. Jonathan and Horizon Avionics! We landed at TYS and experienced a maintenance issue. It was late Saturday evening by the time we got to the local hotel. I gave the Horizon number a call hoping to just check in with a night mechanic. Mr. Jonathan, the owner, answered and walked me thru what we needed to do. The repair has been lengthy but Mr. Jonathan has been there the entire time with regular updates and encouraging emails and texts. He has even taken time on the phone to discuss the repairs, insurance and timelines. Cant say enough good things about his operation, his caring nature and his desire to, as he says, help a Pilot in a spot of trouble!
