I love MDU. If I pay my bill, they give me gas. Works just like its supposed to.

In the community to serve? NOT HARDLY! This is a company that at one time would sell you an appliance, service the appliance if it needed it, and basically was a company that provided customer service from start to finish. Your one stop shop for your natural gas or electric needs. Emergency heat issues were handled promptly. Now it is a call center that tells you that they "do not do that anymore." Call a 9-5 contractor instead. Now, their only interest is in selling you the natural gas or electricity, and for anything else you are on your own. No local customer service. No local contacts. Nothing for the customer. I do wonder exactly what the field employees are getting paid for? You would think for the over $40.00 per hour plus benefits they get paid they could do something other than drive around or sit in the cafes. It most definitely isn't providing any meaningful customer service!

I have literally called them 3 times seeing what it would take to have a line ran to my house here in St.Onge and each time I was told someone from the spearfish office would contact me, Ive yet to hear a word at all

Edit, the balanced billing system will give you a legitimate headache if you try to figure it out. I have never seen such a hot mess of system. I have not been impressed since starting services with MDU but luckily for them there isn't much for options.
