Rooms were disgusting with red smears on the walls, bathroom floor sticky, bathroom shower curtain had substances on it, no towel hanger on bathroom door, comforter had mud smear on it, tv remote would only work when standing in certain part of room Rooms: Not good

I'm "still" disappointed with the quality of this place, but will say my room seems to be recently updated & much cleaner than previous stays, thankfully! Searched for many other options to stay, but nothing else w/in miles & was attending a funeral in right in Sisseton, so gave it another shot. Was shocked to discover they still have smoking rooms, pleasantly surprised that mine didn't have any odor this time. I agree with previous posts about customer service, the mgmt didn't seem to like helping or responding to any questions re: my stay. She was defensive & impatient, very awkward. The remote was set for one station after certain times of the evening, don't know how they did that?? No lights on in the parking lot, creates real safety concerns. Would be so great if it was a decent place to stay. I have a lot of family here & would stay more often live so far away. It's too bad , they have an opportunity to have a good business & positive reputation, would bring in a lot more guests & tourism into the area, everyone in Sisseton would/could benefit.

Hotel had a strong odor of weeds and earth that hit you right away when walking in. The smell continued through the hallways and up to the second floor. Thankfully the smell was not in our room. Room was "meh". A place to sleep for the night, I guess. Very flat pillows. Bedding was thin. Water pressure was not good. No bed bugs, so I guess that's something. Woke up the next morning to the smell of weeds and earth when we walked the hallways and ate breakfast. Pool area had pieces of paper taped all over the door with a sign that said it was "closed for today" but by the looks of it had been closed for months. Breakfast was very basic: Frosted Flakes, Cheerios, or Raisin Bran for cereal options; yogurt; questionable looking hard-boiled eggs; bread; and packaged cinnamon rolls. A place to sleep for a night. Not too far off the interstate. Easy check-in process. Definitely NOT worth the price though! $113 was far too much for what we got. This was definitely not a $113 room or experience.
